2011 President moved from Long Island 38 years ago and has made Rochester her home. She has enjoyed providing 28 years of professional service to the Greater Rochester Community. Real Estate is her business, helping her clients and customers are her passion. Her real estate career has covered 2 generations and continues. She loves life, family, children (2) grandchildren (3) customers, clients, and even working. Cooking, eating and walking are right up there. Watching snow fall or sunrise is a peaceful pastime. Her involvement in Women’s Council of REALTORS® for over 13 years is her second love. She could never be a REALTOR® and not belong to Women’s Council, it has been so positive in my life, not to mention support whenever it has been needed.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
- Obtain incoming officer pins and nametags, a chapter expense, in time for the installation ceremony.
- Recognize the outgoing president in a special manor at her last meeting of her term
- Have a planning meeting with new Board members
- Leadership Orientation with new WCR Board, Standing and Special committee members, late Dec or early January
- Appoint committee chairs and ask them to pick a vice chair and committee members for their committee
- Review all tax documents which are signed by the President and Treasurer jointly.
- Preside over all Board meetings, monthly events and special meetings.
- Arrange all Mid-year and Year end national meetings with help if needed from Board members.

2011 President Elect - Born and raised in Rochester, NY She believes Rochester is a great place to live, work and raise a family. Kathy is devoted to working with and helping others. She worked at Kodak in Human Resource for over 30 yrs. She has children (2) and grandchildren (6). In 2006, she received her real estate license and joined Nothnagle Realtors. She became a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) and then joined several committees. Kathy is proud to be a member of the WCR, "it is a great experience".
Highlighted Responsibilities
- Review all president duties
- Assist the President in all matters including presiding at any meeting in the president’s absence.
- Coordinate the planning of the monthly member meetings in conjunction with the Programs and Education Committee,
- excluding special events
- Attend Leadership Academy,
- Review local chapter By-Laws
- Visit wcr.org and review national strategic framework for2010
- May visit any committee to learn about progress and function

2010 and 2011 Vice President of REALTOR Members, was born in Rochester and raised in Brimfield and Sturbridge, Massachusetts. She returned to upstate New York in the early 1970's and obtained her real estate license. After three decades of detours, working at Kodak, going back to college and graduating with a B.S in Health Science and a Master’s in Psychology, Janet resumed her real estate career in 2001 and since 2007, holds her Broker’s license with Nothnagle Realtors.
Highlighted Responsibilities
- Works very closely with local Membership committee and helps with orientations
- Accountable for recruitment, retention and recapturing membership efforts of the chapter
- Establish local membership goals with Chapter President and local Governing Board
- Monitor membership reports from National for accuracy and follow up with National
- Report to National and Local WCR any corrections to contact information.
- Keep record of applications for all renewed and new REALTOR® members.
- Communicates with VP of Affiliates and Sponsors whenever needed.

Betsy Matthews; a Broker Associate with RE/MAX First Betsy has been a Realtor in the Rochester area since 2002 and has a down-to-earth approach to all that she does. A strong believer in family, community, Betsy’s volunteer activities include awareness and fund-raising campaigns for several area charities. Winner of both the WCR Volunteerism Award (2009) and the WCR Pinnacle Award (2004), Betsy balances her profession with her personal life which include a love of travel, cooking and most importantly her family.
Highlighted Responsibilities
- Will have custody of the funds of the Chapter and make disbursements directed by President or Board
- Work with Governing Board to develop annual budget
- The keeper of all records and have treasurers report available at monthly meetings
- Review income and expenses to ensure fiscal integrity
- Work closely with Finance and Budget Committee.
- Work closely with the chair of Special events and our Accountant
- Submit all accounting to an individual auditing group.
- Develop some guidelines for improved budgeting

Moved to Rochester NY in 2004. Annie quickly jumped into the real estate industry and joined the Women’s Council of REALTORS® in 2005. She became involved in several committees and received the 2007 Volunteerism Award. In 2009 she was the WCR Affiliate of the Year. Annie is also a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Genesee Valley and is a member of their Governing Board. Her favorite things in life is her family and friends. One of her favorite mottos is "Work to live, not live to work." However she still accomplishes many things within this industry. She feels joining the WCR doesn't just allow her to accomplish networking, but also introduced her to amazing people she now calls Friends!
Highlighted Responsibilities
- Takes the minutes of each Chapter meeting and each Governing Board meeting
- Record what is done, motions, votes, approvals, disapprovals
- Original Minutes should be kept in a permanent chapter minutes book.
- Copy’s to be sent to Chapter President, Pres Elect, State Chapter Pres and State Governor electronically
- Responsible for notifying National of all newly elected officers and their contact information once elected, no later than November 1st
- Help in preparation of orientation package for newly elected officers, Standing and Special Committees chairs and vice chairs.

Bill Fox is our VP of Affiliates and Sponsors for 2011 was born in Rochester and has lived here his entire life. His 35 year first career at Kodak was split between Engineering & Maintenance and Sales & Marketing prior to his present 10 year second career in Real Estate. He enjoys gardening,"playing in the dirt", for stress relief. Other passions include travel and all aspects of food,”preparation, presentation and particularly consumption"...Bon appetite!

- Attends all monthly Board meetings as a member of the Board
- Keep records of all Affiliates and Sponsors, their contact information
- Work closely with the Affiliate and Sponsor Development Committee to bring new ideas to our chapter
- Think outside the box for new Sponsorships
- Funds permitting attend Annual WCR National meetings

Linda Wilson is our Past President Select for 2011. She was the President for 2009, Born in Niagara Falls, New York then moved to Geneseo where she graduated High School. She came to Rochester to attend college in the Mid 70’s and obtained an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in psychology. Previous jobs have been at DuPont and Bausch & Lomb. While working at DuPont she obtained her Real-estate license in 1987. She is currently an Associate Broker with Nothnagle Realtors. Her involvement with the Women’s Council of Realtors has given her so much. She developed her leadership skills, gained experience and education to help better serve her clients. The bonding and relationships she has developed with the other members throughout the years is priceless.

- Assist and help the new President organize for her term.
- Try to attend most Board meetings.
- May remain on and be very involved in committee planning
- Help in planning the Orientation Program for the new Board and the Committee chairs
- Oversee and/or chair the Newest committee Past Presidents Club, needing a vice chair and 2-3 members
- Let the President and any other Members know when something needs to be corrected or done differently.
- Encourage and assist whenever needed
